- Quality - We’re a small, niche firm that focuses on creating estate plans and post death settlements for clients. Established over 1800 estate plans over the last 16 years (28 years of practice), as well as efficiently settling dozens of estates and trusts. With a combination of a focus in this area of law and nationally discussed document systems, we both establish estate plans and represent the family to accomplish what’s needed after a loved one’s passing. - Responsive - We understand the major complaint of attorney not returning a phone call. We’re committed to returning all phone calls promptly. Initial appointments generally are scheduled for a convenient time within a 10 day period. We generally complete the work within 21 days. Some types of work will require more time.
- Easy to Understand: We’ll create the estate plan that the client needs – whether basic wills, more likely living trusts or other plans. Clients appreciate us using a ‘Whiteboard’ to illustrate their estate plan for them.
- Understands financial products: We understand the role of insurance (and other financial products) in the estate plan. We have a special focus on retirement plans and the non-U.S. Citizen in the context of estate planning.
- Strong follow up: We diligently follow-up with the client and make sure the process, after first contact, is completed.

meeting: We provide your client a comfortable, friendly first meeting that’s free of charge so that they understand the process and cost before becoming committed.
- Focus on Area of Law: Mr. Bernstein holds a Masters in Tax Law and concentrates in this area. He’s been a member of both the Boston Estate Planning Council and American Academy of Estate Planning Attorneys. He’s authored over 30 articles that have appeared for the American Bar Association, spoken at the semi-annual national meeting, and is a regular guest lecturer for the Massachusetts Foundation for Continuing Education on Trusts.
- Respects your relationship: We understand that your relationship with your client is very important and we must not interfere in any way with that. We must and will make you look good.
- Pleasant to Work with: We are pleasant to work with, with a minimum amount of stress and attitude. We have plenty of patience.
- For Living Trusts we generally work on a flat rate basis to eliminate the usual hesitancy to call us. (Clients call us rather than making calls to you to explain our documents.)
