Company History
Joel Bernstein, Attorney at Law, has grown his estate planning practice to include
over 1800 clients based on the simple idea that estate plans could
be completed in weeks instead of months. By doing this, the process is not the long, drawn out affair that often accompanies this necessary task.
Many of Joel’s clients had tried
previously to complete an estate plan, but did not have the time
to commit to the standard three to six months of preparation. Given Joel's unique background as former editor of the ABA Real Property Technology Column for Probate and Property magazine, Joel has done
what his peers can’t: condensed the time line to between two
and four weeks for a sound and complete estate plan.
Efficiency is a hallmark of Joel’s experience. In the eighties,
he became well known nationally for automation that he created to streamline real
estate conveyancing. Also during this time Joel earned two masters
level advanced law degrees, including the prestigious LL.M. Tax degree
from Boston University. Ahead of his peers again, Joel began providing
the important service of post-death administration for his clients.
Then, in the nineties, Joel saw the need for integrating estate planning
with wealth management so that his clients could maintain their lifestyle
throughout retirement.
The integration of estate planning, wealth management and post-death
administration is unique to Joel’s practice and expertise.
The American Academy of Estate Planning Attorneys recognized his
achievements in these areas by naming him to serve on the board of
Governors from 1994 to 1996. During the nineties, Joel earned his
Registered Investment Advisor accreditation as well as the sterling
designation of Certified Financial Planner.
With more than 300 seminars delivered, Joel is the educational arbiter
of estate planning for the retirement-minded. His clients are typically
in their mid-fifties or older and are adept at creating, but not
necessarily managing, their wealth to its potential for retirement.
In addition to the ABA
Probate and Property magazine, his articles have also appeared in the Law Office Economics
and Management Journal.
